| Dear Ria, In connection with my intended leave as director of the AKI – (at the end of the academic year 1980/1981) I would like to have a discussion with you – because I know that you consider ART as the centre – magical centre – radiation source – of education on this academy. There is you see a great danger – at least not imaginary – that after my leave – art craft, artistic profession, social relevance and socio – political employability will predominate; hand in hand with a detached and bureaucratic regime. That is why it seems good to me to discuss how such a development can be avoided. Since soon the whole AKI community will have to be informed and has to be called to speak out about the future policy and the profile of the coming director/directress a confidential discussion on the shortest terms possible seems desirable.
